You can cook stuffing inside the bird, although it’s a tricky food safety proposition since every cube should be cooked to at least 165° F…and that’s tough to do without drying out the turkey itself. So instead, we usually recommend baking the stuffing in a casserole rather than the cavity, which changes its name to dressing.
